Aleppo authorities call for public cooperation to identify suspect in national flag case - SANA

Aleppo, March 21 (SANA) The Internal Security Command in Aleppo Governorate has confirmed it is investigating a high-priority incident that occurred during Newroz celebrations, involving an individual deliberately bringing down the Syrian national flag. Authorities emphasized that all necessary legal measures will be taken against the perpetrator in accordance with due process.

In an official statement, the Aleppo Internal Security Command noted that specialized agencies are tracking the case with “utmost interest.” The statement clarified that such an act constitutes a direct violation of standing laws and regulations and undermines the symbolic sanctity and sovereignty of the state.

The statement underscored that the national flag represents the unity and dignity of the country, asserting that any assault upon it is a criminal act requiring legal accountability. The command called upon anyone with reliable information regarding the identity or whereabouts of the individual involved to cooperate with authorities and report through official channels.

The statement concluded by reinforcing that adherence to the law remains the only guarantor for protecting society and upholding the dignity of the state.
