Damascus, March 11 (SANA) Syria’s Health Ministry on Wednesday supplied the Raqqa Health Directorate with new medical equipment aimed at improving care for newborns at the city’s Specialized Children’s Hospital, the ministry said.
The shipment included three neonatal intensive care incubators and six additional standard incubators, equipment expected to enhance the hospital’s ability to treat newborns and expand its capacity for infant care, a Health Ministry official said.
Raqqa Health Director Dr. Abdullah al-Hamoud said the equipment would improve services for newborns while easing financial burdens on families by allowing treatment within the hospital.
Al-Hamoud added that authorities are continuing modernization efforts across healthcare facilities in Raqqa province, including supplying hospitals and health centers with the equipment and medical supplies needed to improve services for residents.
The Specialized Children’s Hospital in Raqqa is one of the province’s key medical facilities providing care for children and newborns. The hospital includes neonatal incubator units, pediatric intensive care services and specialized outpatient clinics.
The hospital has recently received support, rehabilitation and equipment upgrades as part of the Health Ministry’s plan to restore and develop healthcare institutions in the province, aiming to strengthen the health sector’s capacity and improve medical services for residents.
