Aleppo, Feb. 27 (SANA) – Trade at the Jarablus border crossing in northern Aleppo countryside is picking up pace, with dozens of trucks carrying food and goods streaming through daily—a sign of growing economic activity in the area.
Crossing manager Ayman Abu Qasra told SANA Friday that the facility serves as a vital artery linking Syria and Türkiye, strengthening bilateral ties and spurring local business. Recent upgrades since eastern Euphrates areas were freed have improved infrastructure, services for travelers and returnees, and trade flows.
Abu Qasra expressed hope the momentum will deepen relations across sectors and position Syria as a regional trade hub. Customs chief Marwan Fadel reported an average of 150 trucks daily, reflecting the crossing’s key role for northern and northeastern Syria, with smooth procedures handled by a skilled staff.
Located between Jarablus town and Türkiye, the post remains one of the busiest gateways for cross-border movement and commerce.
