Homs, Feb. 22 (SANA) Mrs. Latifa al-Droubi, wife of President Ahmad al-Sharaa, visited the Islamic Charity Association Orphanage in Homs on Sunday. During the visit, she conducted a comprehensive tour of the facility’s departments, reviewing its diverse educational and vocational rehabilitation programs.

The tour included the art exhibition, the robotics department, and the science laboratory, where she was briefed on the modern pedagogical methods employed to foster innovation among the youth. The visit underscores the state’s institutional commitment to nurturing the next generation through advanced scientific and creative curricula.

Mrs. al-Droubi shared Iftar meal with the children residing at the orphanage, joined by a number of children of martyrs. During the gathering, she listened to presentations delivered by the children, which included recitations from the Holy Quran and various literary contributions, reflecting the cultural and spiritual values instilled within the institution.

Following the meal, Mrs. al-Droubi held an expanded meeting with several association directors and staff members. She listened to a detailed presentation on the current operational reality and existing challenges facing the sector. The discussions focused on strategies to evolve care programs, shifting the paradigm from immediate relief to long-term empowerment. This approach aims to ensure the sustainable social integration of orphaned children and provide them with the tools necessary to contribute to the nation’s future.
