Quneitra, Feb. 18 (SANA) Israeli forces raided the village of Ain Ziwan in southern Syria’s Quneitra province on Wednesday, searching homes and setting up a checkpoint.
SANA’s reporter in Quneitra said Israeli troops moved into Ain Ziwan, where they searched several houses and stopped civilians at a newly established checkpoint on the outskirts, disrupting movement in and out of the area.
In a separate incident Tuesday, Israeli forces entered the village of Saida al-Golan, also in Quneitra province, and detained a young man.
Israel continues to carry out violations of the 1974 Disengagement Agreement through further incursions into southern Syrian territory.
Syria has reiterated its demand for the withdrawal of Israeli forces from its territory, stating that all measures taken by Israel in southern Syria are null and void.
