Quneitra–Daraa, Feb.10 (SANA) Israeli occupation forces detained a young man on Tuesday while he was herding sheep west of Abu Madhrah Farm in the southern countryside of Quneitra.
“The young man was escorted into the occupied territories for unknown reasons before being released later”, local sources said.
In a separate incident, Israeli occupation forces shelled agricultural lands near Eastern Samdaniya village in the northern Quneitra countryside with three artillery shells on Tuesday evening.
Israeli forces also fired two shells at agricultural lands near Wadi al-Raqqad, between the villages of Ma‘riyah and Abidin in the western countryside of Daraa, without reports of human casualties.
Israel continues its violations of the 1974 Disengagement Agreement, including incursions into southern Syria, raids, arrests, and the levelling of agricultural lands.
Syria has repeatedly called for the withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces from its territory, stressing that all measures taken by the occupation in southern Syria are null and void and have no legal effect under international law. Syria also calls on the international community to assume its responsibilities and deter Israeli practices, and to compel Israel to fully withdraw from southern Syria.
