Hasakah, Feb. 6 (SANA) A delegation from the Syrian Ministry of Defense, headed by the Chief of Operations of the Syrian Arab Army, Brig. Gen. Hamza al-Hmaidi, held a meeting on Friday with representatives of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in the city of Hasakah.
The Defense Ministry said in a statement that the meeting focused on procedures for integrating SDF personnel into the Syrian Arab Army and implementing the remaining provisions of the agreement between the Syrian government and the SDF.
On January 30, the Syrian government announced it had reached a ceasefire agreement with the SDF as part of a broader deal, including the phased integration of military and administrative forces, the deployment of security units to Hasakah and Qamishli, and the handover of civil institutions, government facilities, and border crossings to the Syrian state.
