Deir Ezzor, Jan. 26 (SANA) Syria’s Internal Security Command in Deir Ezzor province on Monday began receiving applications from members affiliated with the SDF who seek to regularize their status at a designated provincial center after surrendering their weapons, according to official statements.

The step comes within the framework of efforts by the Ministry of Interior to strengthen stability in the region, enable individuals to return to civilian life, and allow them to obtain civil documentation and resume daily activities in accordance with the law.

Colonel Dirar al-Shamlan, head of the Internal Security Command in the province, told SANA that the settlement process includes the full handover of weapons, registration of personal data, and security and legal screening, in a move aimed at maintaining public order and safeguarding security and stability across eastern areas of the Euphrates.

Al-Shamlan said that attendance at the designated centers is mandatory and is intended to reintegrate residents into their communities, prevent any security vacuum, and ensure the continuation of normal life under the rule of law. He added that procedures are proceeding in an organized and gradual manner to serve the public interest while protecting citizens’ rights.

He also praised the cooperation shown by tribal leaders and local residents, stressing that authorities will continue taking all necessary measures to bolster security, consolidate stability, and prevent the spread of illegal weapons or disorder in the area.

The Ministry of Interior announced Sunday the allocation of two centers to receive settlement requests from SDF-affiliated members. One in Deir Ezzor province and the other in Raqqa Province.
