Damascus, Jan. 18 (SANA) Syrian Minister of Emergency and Disaster Management, Raed al-Saleh announced on Sunday the deployment of ministry teams across the al- Jazira region, in Raqqa, Hasakah, and Deir Ezzor, to deliver emergency and humanitarian services to all citizens.

In a post on X, al-Saleh said, “A while ago, firefighting personnel from Raqqa, Hasakah, and Deir Ezzor assisted in extinguishing the fires in Latakia. Today, we are working together in Deir Ezzor, Raqqa, and Hasakah to protect lives.”

He called on all firefighting units and civil defense staff to remain at their posts, continue their national and humanitarian duties, and provide emergency services to local residents, emphasizing their role in protecting lives and property as part of their national responsibility.

Separately, President Ahmad Al-Sharaa signed an agreement on January 18 for a ceasefire and the full integration of Syrian Democratic Forces into state institutions, marking a significant step in consolidating state authority in the region.
