Damascus, Jan. 18 (SANA) President Ahmad al-Sharaa met with U.S. Special Envoy for Syria Thomas Barrack on Sunday in Damascus, southern Syria, in the presence of Foreign and Expatriates Minister Asaad Hassan al-Shaibani.
The meeting affirmed Syria’s unity and sovereignty over its entire territory and highlighted the importance of dialogue during the current phase, as well as rebuilding Syria with the participation of all Syrians. The meeting further emphasized continued coordination of efforts to combat terrorism.
The discussions also addressed ways to enhance economic cooperation between Syria and the United States and reviewed the latest regional developments.
