Damascus, Jan.18 (SANA) Syrian Arab Army Operations Command said that the army units seized Sunday the strategic city of al-Tabqa after expelling terrorist PKK militias from the area.
The Command announced in a statement that the Syrian army forces extended their control over the Euphrates Dam, securing the site and restoring stability to the surrounding area.
Meanwhile the Media and Communication Directorate at the Ministry of Defense stated that the number of QSD organization members who have contacted the designated defection hotlines has reached 483.
The Directorate confirmed that the cases of those individuals were reviewed and validated, noting that 181 members have so far been safely secured upon reaching the Syrian Arab Army’s designated reception points.
