Aleppo, Jan. 17 (SANA) Local authorities in Aleppo have begun implementing a comprehensive service restoration plan in the eastern city of Deir Hafer, following the return of government institutions to the area. The initiative includes reopening roads, removing earthen barriers, and clearing rubble to allow administrative and public services to resume.
The plan also calls for restarting the city’s automated bakery and repairing the electricity network to improve power supply reliability for residents, authorities said. Officials described the measures as a step toward restoring stability and gradually returning daily life to normal.
Aleppo Deputy Governor Fawaz Hilal visited Deir Hafer alongside members of the central response committee to assess the state of essential services, review residents’ needs, and coordinate support efforts.
Earlier on Saturday, the Syrian Arab Army regained control over Deir Hafer, Maskanah, and 34 surrounding villages in eastern Aleppo countryside. Hundreds of SDF members have surrendered as the army consolidated its presence across the western Euphrates region.
