Syria, Turkey explore media cooperation and exchange of expertise

Damascus, Jan. 13 (SANA) Minister of Information Hamza al-Mustafa held talks on Tuesday with the Turkish ambassador to Damascus Nuh Yilmaz to discuss review prospects for enhancing media cooperation and exchanging expertise between media institutions in the two countries.

During the meeting, al-Mustafa underscored that the talks mark a positive starting point for developing bilateral relations, particularly given the shared interest in benefiting from Turkey’s experience in digital media through various approaches and tools.

Al-Mustafa also conveyed the Syrian people’s deep appreciation for Turkey’s efforts in supporting Syrians during the period of the revolution.

For his part, Ambassador Yilmaz noted the strength of relations between the two countries, describing them as exceeding those between many other states. He reiterated efforts to make these ties more structured, lasting, interconnected and sustainable in the coming period.

Last week, the Turkish ambassador stated in a post on the X platform that Turkish-Syrian relations are witnessing notable progress across various fields.
