Aleppo, Jan. 11 (SANA) Specialized demining teams from Syria’s Ministry of Interior dismantled multiple explosive materials left behind by SDF organization in Aleppo’s Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood on Sunday, according to a post on the ministry’s Telegram channel.
The ministry said the operations included dismantling a booby-trapped vehicle fitted with mortar shells, as well as a large number of suicide drones. The devices were discovered inside civilian homes, in addition to improvised explosive devices planted by SDF organization groups inside houses and along street edges, the statement said.
During field operations, the teams also detected a booby-trapped rocket and handled it in line with approved technical procedures to ensure its safe dismantling or detonation.
After the dismantling work, engineering teams transferred the explosive materials and suicide drones to secure locations, while the booby-trapped rocket was detonated under direct supervision. The ministry said no casualties or material damage were recorded.
