Three rockets fired at the Mezzeh area of Damascus, no casualties

Damascus, Jan. 4 (SANA) Three rockets were fired by unknown individuals on Saturday evening at the Mezzeh area in Damascus, with no injuries reported.

One rocket hit the dome of al-Mohammadi Mosque, another struck the telecommunications building, causing material damage, while a third landed near Mezzeh Airport, the Damascus Media Directorate said in a statement.

It added that the Damascus Emergency Directorate worked to repair the damage and secure the area, while internal security forces surveyed the site, assessed the situation, and monitored the location from which the rockets were launched.

Unidentified attackers had previously targeted the vicinity of Mezzeh military airport with rockets on 9 December, also without causing casualties.
