Minister al-Mustafa: Syria’s state media platforms report important growth

Damascus, Jan. 1 (SANA) Syria’s Minister of Information, Hamza al-Mustafa, said on Thursday that leading national media platforms recorded “significant growth” in 2025, calling the figures a meaningful sign of rebuilding public trust achieved despite the “heavy legacy of the past.”

In a post on the social media platform X, al-Mustafa said that most of the platforms showing growth were relaunched in the second half of last year, stressing that “impressions are important and challenges are difficult.” He emphasized that performance metrics provide the most reliable measure of progress.

“We are undoubtedly at the beginning of the road,” he wrote, adding that the growth was notable not only because it was competitive and organic, but also because it occurred under difficult conditions.

Minister al-Mustafa said the relaunch of all official media platforms and institutions is expected to be completed in the first quarter of this year, with a new model designed to allow continuous development. Additional media projects will be announced in the coming months, he added.
