Damascus, Jan. 1 (SANA) Syrians welcomed the new year on late Wednesday with optimism, hoping that 2026 would bring greater security, stability, and improved living conditions after years of hardship.
Citizens told SANA that the new year is an opportunity to rebuild the country following liberation. They stressed that security is the top priority for restoring normal life and improving public services.
They emphasized the importance of national unity in overcoming past challenges and voiced optimism about achieving economic stability and better basic services in the future.
New Year’s Day is celebrated worldwide on January 1, marking the beginning of a new year and renewed hopes for peace and prosperity.
