Ankara, Dec. 23 (SANA) Turkish telecommunications company Turkcell announced that it will activate its international calling service in Syria starting at midnight on Dec. 23, enabling its subscribers to use their mobile lines while present in the country.
The announcement was made by Turkcell Chief Executive Officer Ali Taha Koç in a post on the social media platform X late Monday, “Turkcell has begun providing its international services in Syria, which allows our subscribers to use their lines while they are within its territory”.
In April, Minister of Communications and Information Technology Abdul Salam Haykal discussed with Turkish Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu ways to enhance technical and technological cooperation, with a particular focus on satellite internet services.
