Minister of Interior Anas Khattab met on Thursday with a delegation representing the Ismaili community from several Syrian provinces at the ministry’s headquarters in Damascus, as part of ongoing efforts to enhance engagement with all segments of Syrian society. The meeting was attended by several senior officials from the Interior Ministry, according to a written statement released on Thursday.

The discussion came within the framework of the ministry’s initiative to maintain direct communication with religious and social components nationwide and to enhance partnership between citizens and state institutions in upholding public order and stability.

Talks focused on ways to promote cooperation in community-based security and on the shared responsibility of all Syrians to preserve national unity and social cohesion.
