Damascus, SANA – Minister of Endowments Muhammad Abu Al-Khair Shukri said that the Ministry is participating for the first time in the activities of the Damascus International Fair since its launch in 1954, asserting during a seminar at the ministry’s pavilion that the fair’s role extends beyond being a platform for economic competition to be a forum for intellectual competition.
The Minister clarified that building nations and civilization building is not based on material construction, but rather is a combination of “material civilization and spiritual civilization.”
The Minister revealed an ambitious project to create the “largest exhibition dedicated to the Prophet’s biography in the Arab world,” on an area of 3,000 square meters, using 3D and virtual reality technologies to enable visitors to live with the ambiance of the Prophet’s biography and the Prophet’s Mosque.
He pointed out that the number of students studying Islamic and mosque-based education in Syria exceeds 600,000 male and female students.
The Minister praised the participation of members of the Syrian Arab Army and the General Security in Quran memorization competitions held in mosques, describing them as “an army that honors the sanctity of God and memorizes the Holy Quran.”
The Ministry’s pavilion displays films about the Prophet’s biography and the biographies of the Rightly-Guided Caliphs, in addition to a miniature model of the Grand Prophet’s Biography Exhibition Project.
