Israel violates the Disengagement Agreement again with an incursion into Quneitra

Quneitra,Jan.7 (SANA) Israeli occupation forces advanced Wednesday into the vicinity of Tel al-Ahmar al-Sharqi in the southern countryside of Quneitra province and raised their flag over it in what residents described as a continuation of repeated violations in the region.

A SANA reporter said that this action comes as part of ongoing assaults carried out by the occupation forces across the province’s countryside, sparking concern and resentment among local residents.

Israel continues to violate the 1974 Disengagement Agreement by advancing into southern Syria and committing violations against civilians through raids, arbitrary arrests, and forced displacement, in addition to destroying property and bulldozing agricultural lands.

Syria reiterates its categorical rejection of these practices, demanding the withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces from its territory, and it stresses that all measures taken by the occupation in southern Syria are null and void and carry no legal effect under international law.

Additionally, Syria calls on the international community to assume its responsibilities, curb these violations, and compel Israel to fully withdraw and return to the terms of the 1974 Disengagement Agreement.
