Syrian health ministry confirms full emergency readiness in Aleppo

Aleppo, Jan 7 (SANA) The Syrian Ministry of Health confirmed on Wednesday that its healthcare system in Aleppo is fully prepared to respond to any emergency, ensuring rapid and effective intervention through enhanced ambulance and emergency services and close coordination with relevant authorities.

Dr. Najib al-Nassan, Director of the Referral, Ambulance, and Emergency Directorate, told SANA that ten ambulances have been deployed to key locations across the city, while the remaining vehicles stay on full standby for immediate deployment if needed. Additional emergency teams have been mobilized to provide backup in case of high demand.

Dr. al-Nassan emphasized that there is direct coordination with Civil Defense teams to ensure smooth evacuation and safe transport of patients, enhancing response speed and protecting the injured. The directorate has also strengthened communication officers within the referral system, continuously updated staffing, and reinforced hospital cooperation to ensure optimal distribution of emergency cases according to available capacity.

The ministry of health had earlier today urged citizens in areas affected by attacks from the SDF organization to exercise the highest degree of caution, stay in safe locations, and avoid balconies and windows.
