Damascus, SANA- Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Dr. Marwan al-Halabi discussed with the head of the Syrian Dentists Syndicate, Dr. Mohammad Bashir al-Samaeel, the Chairman of the National Authority for Quality and Accreditation, Dr. Omar Hamadeh, and a number of deans of dental colleges, the status of the dental sector, the requirements of the labor market, and the needs of society in Syria.
The meeting, held at the Ministry in Damascus on Thursday, saw Minister Al-Halabi stress the need to develop a balanced national educational map that takes into account population distribution and society’s need for dental services, emphasizing that the ministry is working to achieve a balance between quantity and quality, and raise the efficiency of educational outcomes in a way that enhances the quality of health care at the national level.
