83 Jordanians evacuate from Sweida in Coordination with Syria

Amman, SANA-The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates announced Wednesday the evacuation of 83 Jordanian citizens and their companions from Sweida Governorate in the Syrian Arab Republic via Nassib/Jaber border crossing to Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

The evacuation was carried out in coordination with the Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates and Syrian state agencies.

Al-Mamlaka TV quoted the ministry’s official spokesperson, Ambassador Sufian Qudah,as saying that Jordanian citizens and their companions were evacuated via Syrian Red Crescent buses, as part of joint efforts with national institutions in the Kingdom.

Ambassador Qudah appreciated Syria’s continued response and cooperation in facilitating the evacuation of Jordanian citizens and ensuring their return to the Kingdom as quickly as possible.
