Deir Ezzor, May 30 (SANA) The Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC) continues its humanitarian response across Deir Ezzor province through relief, health,, and service interventions aimed at alleviating the impact of current conditions caused by the rising water levels of the Euphrates River.
Speaking to SANA on Saturday, Omar al-Maliki, Director of the Communication and Media Unit at SARC, stated that relief supplies have so far been distributed to 127 families residing in two temporary shelters established at Omar Bin al-Khattab and Kamal Asaad Kamal schools.

The assistance is being provided in coordination with the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labour, the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), and the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP).
Al-Maliki stressed that ambulance teams remain on high alert to respond to any emergency situations. The teams have been deployed since Thursday with support from the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).
He also pointed out that SARC’s mobile medical clinic is operating at shelter centers established in schools in Deir Ezzor’s al-Huweiqa neighborhood, where healthcare services are being provided to affected families, particularly women, children, and elderly people.
The clinic delivered medical services to approximately 116 people on Friday at the Omar Bin al-Khattab and Kamal Asaad Kamal schools, with support from the Norwegian Red Cross. Specialized teams are also providing psychosocial support and case management services, according to al-Maliki.
Al-Maliki further announced that a fourth shelter center was opened in Deir Ezzor on Saturday. In addition, three trucks carrying food and relief supplies arrived in Raqqa with support from the International Committee of the Red Cross.
