Damascus, May 31 (SANA) Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Asaad Hassan al-Shaibani reaffirmed Syria’s commitment to the principles of justice and accountability, and to holding accountable all those involved in crimes committed against the Syrian people.

“We pledge to our martyrs and our people that their great sacrifices will serve as the cornerstone of building a Syria of the future, justice, and dignity, where rights and freedoms are safeguarded and whose citizens enjoy security and stability,” al-Shaibani said in a post on the X platform on Saturday.

He added: “We also reaffirm that we will remain faithful to the blood of our martyrs, adhering to the principles of justice and accountability, and working to bring all those involved in crimes against the Syrian people before justice so that they receive their fair punishment.”

Earlier, the National Commission for Missing Persons (NCMP) announced that, within the framework of its legal mandate and national responsibility to determine the fate of missing persons in Syria, and following extensive verification and analysis procedures involving the review of multiple sources of information and evidence, it had reached reliable and corroborated findings allowing it to conclude, with a high degree of professional certainty, the deaths of the children of Dr. Rania al-Abbasi.
