Syrian-Jordanian talks on developing the Joint Free Zone

Damascus, SANA – Chairman of the General Authority for Land and Sea Ports, Qutaiba Badawi, discussed with a Jordanian delegation headed by Jordanian Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply Yarub Falah Al-Qudah ways of developing economic relations and enhancing the Syrian-Jordanian partnership.

On his reception of the Jordanian delegation at the Nassib border crossing point with Jordan, Badawi recalled the deep historical ties between the two countries. During a field tour of the crossing point’ s facilities, the two sides were briefed on the operating mechanisms and facilities provided for the movement of passengers and trucks, as well as the measures implemented to expedite the flow of trade between the two brotherly countries.

The tour also included the Syrian-Jordanian Joint Free Zone Company, where the company’s director gave a comprehensive overview of its operations, including its most prominent activities, recent performance statistics, and plans to develop logistics services and attract investment.
