Damascus, SANA-Minister of Emergency and Disaster Management Raed al-Saleh, discussed with a delegation from UN Women, headed by Moez Doraid, the Regional Director for Arab States, role of Syrian women under the current circumstances, emphasizing their position as a key partner in the national response and community building.
The two sides discussed the importance of empowering women and enhancing their capacities.
The meeting also reviewed the Ministry’s priorities and the challenges facing women’s participation in field work were reviewed, as well as ways to support national cadres through training and qualification and enhancing the role of volunteers in local communities.
