Finance Minister: Syria’s participation in meetings with IMF and World Bank aims to rev

Finance Minister: Syria’s participation in meetings with IMF and World Bank aims to rev

Damascus, SANA-Syria will participate next week in the annual meetings of international financial institutions (IFI) in Washington.

Finance Minister Mohammed Barnieh said to a SANA reporter that the goal of participating in the meetings that Syria will hold with the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank is to “revitalize cooperation with international financial institutions, open channels for technical support, and build capacity.”

Minister Finance Minister Barnieh described the meetings planned for the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank as “technical meetings,” and they come within the framework of several meetings that Syria will hold to serve economic and financial reform programs and Syria’s interests.
