Safadi, Barrack discuss developments in Syria and efforts to support its reconstruction process

Amman, SANA-Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi discussed developments in Syria and efforts to support its reconstruction process with US Special Envoy for Syria Thomas Barrack.

“Safadi and Barrack discussed the situation in Syria and efforts to support brotherly Syria in the reconstruction process, in a way that ensures its security, stability, unity, and sovereignty, rids it of terrorism, preserves the rights of the brotherly Syrian people, and fulfills their aspirations for a secure and fulfilled future.” The ministry stated in a statement published on its official website on the X platform.

According to the statement, Safadi stressed the importance of concerted efforts to support Syria and its stability, which constitutes a pillar of regional stability.

He also stressed the importance of US President Donald Trump’s decision to lift sanctions on Syria, describing the decision as “a pivotal step in helping the Syrian government confront the challenges it faces, meet the needs of the Syrian people, and facilitate reconstruction.”
