Turkish companies affirm their eagerness to participate in Syria's reconstruction at B

Damascus, SANA-Turkish companies operating in the construction sector are keen to participate in Buildex, currently being held at the Damascus Fairground, a total of 112 companies are participating.

The companies affirmed their readiness to play a major role in the upcoming reconstruction phase, following the massive destruction caused by the former regime over the past 14 years.

Selim Yildirim, from Meko Makina, a machinery manufacturing company, told a SANA reporter that his company was keen to participate in this important exhibition, which coincides with the decision to lift US and European sanctions.

He noted that they aspire to open branches in Syria and see great opportunities for work and cooperation in various fields and sectors, both public and private, in conjunction with the move toward a free market.

The General Manager of Sandwich Panel Construction Company said that participating in BUILDEX is an opportunity to learn about the Syrian market and its construction needs, adding his company’s readiness to offer its expertise and materials to Syrian companies and establish partnerships with them.

For his part, Burak, from Integra Building Materials and Thermal Insulation Company, said that they considered participation as an opportunity to invest in Syria and establish agreements with other companies, both local and foreign.

He praised the exhibition’s excellent organization and the warm welcome he received from the organizers.

“We aspire to be partners in Syria’s reconstruction.” Sirwan, representative of “Ege”, a company specializing in insulation and epoxy, said.

He expressed his country’s desire to provide the necessary support by transferring the Turkish experience in the fields of construction, building, and real estate,adding that a team from his company has studied the local market and examined the company’s chances of investing and cooperating in local markets.
