After a ten-year hiatus, maritime transport companies resume trips between Mersin and Tartous

Tartous, SANA-The first ship belonging to the Dolphin Maritime Transport Company arrived at the port of Tartous at dawn today, marking the resumption of its cargo transport activities after a stoppage lasting over a decade.

The General Authority for Land and Maritime Ports announced, on its Telegram channel, that the company has started operating three regular weekly shipping trips between the Turkish port of Mersin and the port of Tartous, a step that will enhance commercial exchange between the two countries and support the supply chain and logistics services in the region.

The Authority said that this return represents a qualitative addition to the maritime transport system in Syria and constitutes a promising beginning for a phase of economic recovery and integration.
