Aden, SANA- The Yemeni Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on Saturday the resumption of the work of the Yemeni Embassy in Damascus, as of next Sunday, April 27th

“In implementation of the directives of the Yemeni Foreign Minister, Dr. Shaye Mohsen Al-Zindani, and the Syrian Foreign Minister, Asaad al-Shaibani, and reflecting the historical relations that bind the two brotherly countries, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announces the resumption of the work of the Embassy of the Republic of Yemen in brotherly Syrian Arab Republic, effective Sunday, April 27, 2025 AD, and the assignment of Counselor Mohammed Ezzi Baakr as Acting Chargé d’Affaires”. the Ministry said in a statement.

The Ministry affirmed that the embassy’s return to its duties after being seized by the Houthi militias since 2016, with the support of the former Syrian regime, represents a historic and significant diplomatic moment in the relations between the two countries.
