Syria, Qatar discuss ways to revive a number of stalled projects

Damascus, SANA- Transport Minister Dr. Yarub Badr discussed on Sunday, with the Chargé d’Affaires of the Qatari Embassy in Damascus, Khalifa Abdullah Al Mahmoud, ways of joint cooperation between the two countries in the transportation sector.

Minister Badr highlighted the importance of strengthening bilateral relations between Syria and Qatar, emphasizing the role of partnership between the two sides in developing Syria’s transportation sector by reviving previously stalled projects that were halted due to the economic sanctions imposed on the Syrian people during the former regime.

Dr.Badr stressed the Ministry’s readiness to cooperate with the Qatari side in the field of providing Syria with internal transport buses that would improve the transport services provided to citizens.

For his part, Chargé d’Affaires Khalifa expressed Qatar’s readiness to provide technical and in-kind support in the field of internal transport.
