President al-Sharaa discusses with King Abdullah II means of developing cooperation on common issues

Amman, SANA –President of the Syrian Arab Republic, Ahmad al-Sharaa and Foreign Minister Asaad al-Shaibani met with Jordan’s King Abdullah II in Amman on Wednesday on the first official visit to the kingdom.

“The two sides discussed means of developing cooperation in a way that achieves common interests and enhances the unity of the Arab ranks in general and the relationship between the two brotherly countries in particular,” the Republic Presidency posted on its page on Telegram.

They also hailed the depth of joint relations and their desire to continue coordination on common issues in order to serve the peoples and interests of the two countries and preserve the security and stability of the region.

The meeting took place in the presence of His Highness Prince Al-Hussein bin Abdullah II, Crown Prince of Jordan, Prime Minister of Jordan, Dr. Jafar Hassan, and Jordanian Foreign Minister, Ayman Al Safadi at Basman Royal Palace.
