Damascus, Jan 10 (SANA) Minister of Defense, Major General Murhaf Abu Qasra, held a telephone conversation with his Turkish counterpart, Yaşar Güler, to discuss developments in Aleppo and issues of common interest.
The talks focused on recent developments in Aleppo’s Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh neighborhoods. Güler expressed Turkey’s support for the Syrian state in its efforts to extend sovereignty across all Syrian territory.
Minister Abu Qasra expressed his gratitude for Turkey’s supportive stance, highlighting the importance of continued cooperation between the two ministries.
On the 30th of last month, the Turkish Minister of Defense discussed several issues of mutual interest with a delegation from the Syrian Ministry of Defense, headed by Major General Ali al-Nassan, Chief of the General Staff, in Ankara.
