Pristina, Dec. 8 (SANA) Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani extended her congratulations to the Syrian people on Monday, marking the country’s Liberation Day. In a statement, Osmani highlighted the shared struggles of Kosovo and Syria, both of which have endured periods of severe oppression and injustice.
“Liberation Day of the Syrian people does not only symbolize the restoration of freedom, but also the revival of hope for the people,” Osmani said. “Both Kosovo and Syria have endured the darkest periods of oppression, injustice, and indescribable suffering, teaching us that justice, even if delayed, will eventually find its voice.”
Osmani also emphasized the strong bonds between the two nations. “From Pristina to Damascus, our hearts beat together for freedom, dignity, and the enduring friendship between our countries. I congratulate you on Liberation Day,” she added.
The statement comes amid ongoing commemorations in Syria, where citizens have gathered across the country to celebrate the anniversary of Liberation Day with parades, public events, and expressions of national pride.
