Berlin, SANA – Residents of Deir Ezzor province residing in Germany organized a solidarity event in Essen city in support of the “Deir al-Ezz” campaign, which aims to collect donations to implement service, health, and educational projects in Deir Ezzor and contribute to the reconstruction of what was destroyed by the criminal machine of the former regime.
The event witnessed multiple activities, most notably collecting donations and the dispatch of a $2 million aid convoy that arrived in Syria last week, along with monitoring the ongoing campaign inside Deir Ezzor.
Participants emphasized that this initiative reflects the unity of Syrians at home and abroad and expresses their national and humanitarian commitment to rebuilding the country.
In a statement to SANA, Hatem al-Hamidat, a financial advisor in Germany and one of the event organizers, noted that the gathering in Essen affirms that the Syrian people are one, not separated by distance, and that its people are ready to provide all forms of material and moral support for the country’s reconstruction.
For his part, the campaign’s founder, Abdul Aziz al-Abd, confirmed that the work is ongoing and will not stop, noting that aid convoys will depart from various European countries to all Syrian provinces, considering this a humanitarian duty for all Syrians.
This event is an extension of a series of donation campaigns launched by residents inside Syria over the past months, as part of popular efforts aimed at supporting the reconstruction process and national advancement.
