Amman, SANA – Jordanian King Abdullah II affirmed on Wednesday that Jordan will continue its efforts to support Syria and Lebanon in preserving their sovereignty and enhancing their stability.
Petra News Agency reported that this came during a phone call King Abdullah received from French President Emmanuel Macron, during which they discussed overall developments in the region.
Moreover, the Jordanian king stressed the need to intensify efforts to cease fire in Gaza Strip and the Israeli escalation in West Bank, emphasizing the importance of the flow of sufficient humanitarian and relief aid to all areas of Gaza.
He reiterated Jordan’s rejection of Israeli statements regarding the “Greater Israel” vision and plans to entrench the occupation of Gaza, noting that the only way to achieve a just and comprehensive peace in the region is a two-state solution.
