Syria and Saudi Arabia advance energy cooperation with strategic facility visits

Riyadh, SANA- Syrian Energy Minister Mohammad al-Bashir and his deputies for oil, electricity, and water resources affairs arrived in Dammam Monday as part of his official visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The visit aims to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the energy sector and facilitate the exchange of technical and regulatory expertise between the two countries.

The Minister is scheduled to undertake a field tour accompanied by Eng. Majed Hindi AlUteibi, deputy Minister for Oil and Gas Technical and Regulatory Affairs Ministry of Energy. The tour will include several strategic facilities in the energy sector, most notably the headquarters of Saudi Aramco, as the delegation will gain insight into the Kingdom’s pioneering achievements in oil and gas production, refining, and distribution, as well as in renewable energy and energy efficiency projects.
