Muscat, SANA- The Syrian Olympic football team claimed third place in the West Asian Football Federation (WAFF) Under-23 Championship, held in the Omani capital, Muscat, by defeating its Bahraini counterpart 1-0 in the match played Tuesday to determine the third and fourth positions.
The winning goal for the Syrian team was scored by player Anas Dahhan during the second half of the match.
The championship concludes Tuesday with the final match to determine the first and second places, featuring the host team Oman against the Jordanian team.
