Syrian youth football team to face Indonesian counterpart on Monday

Syrian youth football team to face Indonesian counterpart on Monday

Jakarta, SANA- The Syrian U-20 football team is preparing for the upcoming match with its Indonesian counterpart in the second round of the “Mandri” friendly tournament.

The match is scheduled to be played at the “Gelora 10 November” stadium in the Indonesian city of Surabaya on Monday at 3:30 p.m. Damascus time.

The Syrian national team conducted a recovery training session Sunday morning with the aim of improving the players’ physical condition.

The team also received tactical training that focused on enhancing harmony and raising the players’ readiness.

The Syrian team defeated its Indian counterpart by six goals to one last Friday, and will conclude its participation by meeting its Jordanian counterpart on the 30th of this month.

The Syrian team’s participation in this tournament comes in preparation for the Asian Cup finals that will be held in China next month. The team will play in Group Four, along with the teams of South Korea, Japan and Thailand.
