Amman, Sept. 27 (SANA) Syria’s under-17 football team lost 4-0 to Lebanon on Saturday in its opening Group A match of the West Asian Football Federation U17 Championship at Aqaba Stadium in Aqaba, southern Jordan.
Syria will face Yemen in its second Group A match on Monday before concluding the first round against Palestine.
Seven national teams are competing in the championship across two groups. Group A comprises Syria, Lebanon, Yemen and Palestine, while host Jordan, the United Arab Emirates and Oman make up Group B.
