Rome, Aug. 25 (SANA) Syrian freestyle wrestler Ibrahim al-Tabbaa won bronze in the 57-kg category on Monday at the 2026 Mediterranean Games in Taranto, Italy.
During the competition, al-Tabbaa lost to France’s Rassoul Galbouraev before taking bronze in the 57-kg event.
Al-Tabbaa recorded two wins in the preliminary round, defeating North Macedonia’s Mohamed Yassinov 6-0 and Italy’s Angelo Peroni 9-2, while losing 10-0 to Türkiye’s Muhammet Karavuş.
