Gold prices hold steady in Syrian market

Gold prices hold steady in Syrian market

Damascus, Sept. 20 (SANA) Gold prices held steady in the Syrian market on Sunday compared with the previous day, according to the General Authority for Precious Metals Management.

The authority’s latest bulletin put the selling price of 21-karat gold at 16,550 Syrian pounds ($135.66) per gram, while the buying price stood at 16,250 Syrian pounds ($133.20) per gram.

The selling price of 18-karat gold stood at 14,150 Syrian pounds ($115.98) per gram, while the buying price was 13,850 Syrian pounds ($113.52) per gram.

International gold prices stood at $4,378 an ounce.
