Cairo, Aug. 3 (SANA) Syria’s Saad Taloustan claimed the bronze medal in the under-12 rapid chess competition at the Arab Open Youth and Cadets Chess Championship in Egypt.
Taloustan finished third with six points after the conclusion of the nine-round rapid chess event on Sunday.
The result adds to Syria’s medal tally at the regional tournament, which brings together young players from across the Arab world and concludes on Aug. 5.
