San Francisco, July 2 (SANA) The United States defeated Bosnia and Herzegovina 2-0 on Wednesday to advance to the Round of 16 of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, despite finishing the match with 10 players.

Folarin Balogun put the United States ahead in first-half stoppage time before being sent off in the 64th minute after receiving a red card.

Down to 10 men, the United States extended its lead through Malik Tillman, who scored in the 82nd minute to seal the victory. Bosnia and Herzegovina pressed for a way back into the match but failed to find the net.

The United States will face Belgium in the Round of 16, with Balogun suspended after his dismissal.
