Pakistan says U.S.-Iran technical talks expected to resume next week
Foreign Ministry spokesperson Tahir Andrabi

Islamabad, June 24 (SANA) Technical talks between the United States and Iran are expected to resume next week, Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry said on Wednesday, as diplomatic efforts continue following recent understandings reached between Washington and Tehran.

Foreign Ministry spokesperson Tahir Andrabi said the next round of discussions was likely to take place next week, although no venue or final date has been confirmed.

According to Andrabi, Tuesday remains the most likely date for the talks, though meetings could also be held on Monday or Wednesday.

The announcement follows comments by Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, who said earlier this week that negotiations between Iran and the United States in Switzerland had concluded successfully as part of broader efforts to ease regional tensions.

Swiss officials have also indicated that technical-level discussions between Tehran and Washington could resume shortly following the completion of the initial round of negotiations.

The planned talks come amid continued diplomatic efforts aimed at advancing dialogue between the two countries and reducing tensions in the region.
