Atlanta, U.S. June 21 (SANA) Spain defeated Saudi Arabia 4-0 on Sunday in their second Group H match of the FIFA World Cup 2026, currently being hosted by the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.
Spain took the lead through Lamine Yamal in the 10th minute before Mikel Oyarzabal scored twice in quick succession in the 21st and 24th minutes. Saudi defender Hassan Tambakti added a fourth goal for Spain with an own goal in the 49th minute.
The result moved Spain to the top of Group H with four points. Uruguay is second, while Saudi Arabia and Cape Verde occupy third and fourth places respectively, each with one point.
