Homs, April 11 (SANA) – Al-Karamah defeated al-Thawra 96-62 on Saturday in the Syrian men’s basketball league.
The game, played at Ghazwan Abu Zaid Hall in Homs, was part of the fourth round of the return stage of the competition.
Al-Karamah took control early, leading by four points at the end of the first quarter before extending the advantage to 19 in the second. A buzzer-beating three-pointer from Abdul Wahab al-Hamwi helped the team to a 48-29 halftime lead.
The Homs side maintained its momentum after the break, pulling further ahead in the third quarter and sealing a comfortable 34-point victory.
Al-Thawra attempted to cut the deficit at times, but al-Karamah’s efficiency on offense and solid defensive play kept the game firmly out of reach.
